I specialize in psychotherapy for men, women, couples and young adults.
Although I enjoy working with a diverse population and a wide range of
presenting problems, special areas of interest and experience for me include:
Men’s and women’s issues, including the management of life transitions and relationships
Couple’s therapy, including improving emotional, physical and sexual intimacy
Older adolescent girls and their development of a healthy sense of self
Family of origin issues
Anxiety and mood disorders, including Depression and Bipolar Disorder
Body image and relationships with food
Shame, self-esteem and assertiveness
Grief and loss, including infertility issues
Finding and maintaining balance between holding onto oneself while being connected to others
Living with intention and meaning
Clients enter into therapy for a variety of reasons. Through the process of therapy, I work together with my clients to help them:
Develop a better understanding of their histories, triggers and patterns in order to get unstuck and create new endings to old stories.
Build their coping skills and capacity for resiliency in order to face stressors and fears that are blocking their growth.
Learn to live authentically in order to create a life congruent with what matters to them.
